M63 - the sunflower
galaxy
I took a good look and
sorted the lights again, 36 passed and a couple of changes to
the processing workflow gave this image.
It is still far from
an RCOS 16 inch, but not bad for the Meade 12 I think. With some
adjustment of the darks, I was able to minimize, if not eliminate,
the noise streaking in the earlier shot, letting me use and post
the whole frame... note the little galaxy in the corner... I think
I am finally understanding
the limitations of the flat frame division too, this worked pretty
well. I wii add more subs if the sky allows...
