Open cluster M46 and NGC 2438

Only 20 minutes total exposure (10 x 2 minutes) was enough to show the small planetary
ngc 2438 pretty well. This image was a part of a test of off-axis guiding versus piggyback
to try to find the drift. PHD did so well on this short exposure that alignment of the subs was not necessary!!

Imaged March, 2009 with the 12 inch Meade Classic at f6.8. Acquired, calibrated, and stacked without alignment in
Nebulosity 2.1.0, final color and curves in Photoshop CS3. A full size image is included for the "pixel peekers".

guided through a Meade OAG , DSI pro I, and PHD via Shoestring GPUSB adapter
