M 13 New image
another shot at my favorite
test subject this spring... this time, 45 x 60 seconds at f6.8,
using the meade FFFR with the short coupling tube that came with
the
AGII from Baader. There is the expected residual coma inherent
in this reducer, but the overall field is a bit flatter. I think
60 second subs are perfect for this bright object
and theHap modified 350d, keeping star color through the entire
image.. In an attempt to compensate for the automatic stuff that
Canon throws at us, I used a master flat
that is the square root of the 20 frame dusk flat. It is still
slightly over compansated on the right edge, but is much beter
than any earlier attempts. Also, the master dark
was scaled to match the lights. Thanks to the infinite patience
of Craig Stark for working with me on this..
